November 2019 Forum Retirement
Due to lack of extra personal time (and too much spam), I'm retiring the forum and setting it to a read-only state. No new registrations or posts will be accepted as of 11/09/19. However, all information will stay up and searchable. If you spend a few minutes searching, you'll find the answers you're looking for. We may re-open the forum next spring.

These things are going extinct. The manufacturer in China is apparently discontinuing them, which is going to suck for a lot of CUV owners over time. We just sent out of our very last one.

I'm not sure what the original plastic rollers were made out of, but they sell frequently so they must not be the best material. I'm thinking of machining ours out of Acetal / Delrin, which should extend the life of the roller significantly.

Also, the original steel tensioner bodies seem to bend over time with use. We'll put the usual HD touch on that and thicken it up.

This post is a bookmark for now, I'll put together a 3D model and will upload it here later.
