New changes to our BDX Heavy Duty A-Arms [2/12/2019]

Quick heads up, we've made some positive changes to our A-Arms this month:

1. Even thicker American DOM tubing. We've been making our A-Arm loops out of 13ga (0.09" thick) steel. Now we'll be making them out of 11ga (0.120"), almost a full 1/8" thickness.

2. Pivot tubes will now be the same 1/8" thickness as the loops. For the last year we've used crazy thick 0.188" wall tubing. This wasn't for strength reasons, it was so that the A-Arm would be a universal fit for both 1/2" and 5/8" bulkheads. The downside was that no company delivers this size in our area, and we had to drive half way across North Carolina to Greensboro (4 hour round trip + the other time spent) every time we needed a new batch. This caused delays and a general feeling of "this s#!t ain't worth it". With the new change, we'll be seeing a more consistent production schedule. Every little bit helps!

You guys know I'm dedicated to the best possible designs and build quality. This change let us use a very common tubing size for both the loop and the pivot tube. And at the same time, we'll still use our Super Oilite (oil-impregnated) bushings to maintain a universal fit for both 1/2" and 5/8" bulkhead sizes.

I put my BDX Heavy Duty A-Arms on my Spiderbox this weekend. They look fantastic and I can feel a difference in the strength of them.
