November 2019 Forum Retirement
Due to lack of extra personal time (and too much spam), I'm retiring the forum and setting it to a read-only state. No new registrations or posts will be accepted as of 11/09/19. However, all information will stay up and searchable. If you spend a few minutes searching, you'll find the answers you're looking for. We may re-open the forum next spring.

ok guys long awaited here is my thread with pics. First off my name is Shawn I am a service estimator for Detroit Diesel prior tech. I went to school for mechanical engineering and aeronautical engineering. So about a year ago I picked up a spider box with no idea what it was. This unit was not running owner said that it sprung a fuel leak so I said ill give her 250$ for the unit she owed me money. The unit was bought brand new in 2004 and sat in a garage until 2016 when I got it. First thing I did was get the unit running and got rid of the lights that were in the front and mounted them to the top rack with a switch.

Next after I got it running me and my son really enjoyed it so I began modding it. Base line it did not have the power that I wanted. So I had the idea lets turbo this unit and see if I have enough oil pressure to supply the turbo. I tapped into the oil system after much research. This was working see in attached pics oil supply was good coming up my drive the original engines exhaust rotted out and the fiber glass clogged the exhaust and overheated the engine.

Next with all this work to the front end I decided I am going to do a full build. I decided to add 13 inch shocks in the rear swing arm as well as added a 39 tooth sprocket. I had to fab this all up I dropped the axle and replaced all bearings while was there I replaced the rear rotor and pads. I moved the shock mounts back about an inch.
