November 2019 Forum Retirement
Due to lack of extra personal time (and too much spam), I'm retiring the forum and setting it to a read-only state. No new registrations or posts will be accepted as of 11/09/19. However, all information will stay up and searchable. If you spend a few minutes searching, you'll find the answers you're looking for. We may re-open the forum next spring.

i appreciate the link but it doesnt tell you the size of the nut i am refering to. the one more specificly refering to is the one directly on top of the clutch keeping the clutch spring and pulley all held together. it is a flat bolt as well. if that helps.

I believe it's 38mm.

Can anyone else verify or correct this?

I stand corrected. After physically trying the socket myself, it's definetly not 38mm... :(

Either 40mm or 1 1/2". I'll try and verify it tomorrow.

Regretfully, the nut on my clutch was rounded from the previous owner changing out the clutch at some point. After some searching, I've read that it is 1 1/2".

I needed a large cresent wrench and a vice to get mine apart.

While I had it apart, I added the High-Stall Clutch Unit and a 1500 RPM contra spring. I also added the KOSO 115mm Variator with 10g roller weights and a new Kevlar CVT drive belt. 8)

Thanks for your help. I did the same thing utilizing the vise and a large vise grip and a rubber mallet.
