GY6 turns over but does'nt start.

I have a gy6 150cc engine that's having some problems AGAIN!!! it's not starting up. What happened is i ran it one day because i got some new shocks so i took a 10 minuate test ride and it crank up fine no problems at all. But then 3 days later i go to start it up and the battery is dead so i put it on the charger for about 4 hours and it was turning over great but it wasnt starting.

The first thing i did was to look at the kill switch wires and see if they were grounding and they were not grounded. So next i took the spark plug out and and with it still atachted to the coil wire i touched it to the frame and NO spark. The spark plug when i took it out was black and dry when i rubbed my finger across it. Could it be a fouled plug or something else electrical? I havent tested anything yet because i need a wire diagram for this engine and were to put my volttolmeter wires to test everything.

Most GY6 engines have the same setup for ignition wiring, but the colors may be different. Here are two links:

Still dont know if it's the coil or cdi yet what should i check first?

If the troubleshooting guides I referenced are not helping, download the service manual for the Crossfire at tomberlin.net - It will give you additional meter measurements to isolate your fault.

just bought a brand new coil and cdi put them on and nothing happened!! could it be the stator?
