Get the upgraded spindles and ball joints to avoid future failures. Larger front wheels will help, but you will need to also add hubs to the front to mount them. The front end will do better with Carter 1150 or BDX front shocks, but the Carters will need brackets or flipped lower a-arms to fit.
Your best performance upgrade is a larger axle sprocket (39-tooth) with a couple of extra links of chain. Then upgrade the intake, filter and main jet to allow the engine to breathe better. Once you try this combination, let us know if you need more speed or better climbing and we'll give advise from there.
